Conference Dinner on Saturday 27th April

For the Conference Dinner on Saturday Night, we are delighted to have booked out Pee Wee’s at the Point, Darwin’s multiple award-winning restaurant. Nestled amongst tropical palms and with the quiet natural ambience of the surrounds and multitude of wildlife that frequents the area, Pee Wee’s at the Point is an unforgettable Territory harbourside dining experience. Its idyllic waterfront location offers magnificent views across Fannie Bay and Mindil beach, to the skyline of Darwin City.

The menu aims to reflect the produce, climate and multiculturalism of the Northern Territory. It showcases the best and freshest local produce and ingredients and incorporates them into the menu. From local saltwater barramundi, tiger prawns, tropical fruit and locally grown Asian vegetables, the best of the Northern Territory is on show.

DINNER SPEAKER: MANDY SMALLACOMBE - ROYAL FLYING DOCTORS SERVCE

Mandy is the Primary Health Manager for Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT, managing a team of RFDS doctors, specialist nurses and other allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive primary health care services to a ‘waiting room’ of more than 2.3 million square kilometres.

A Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE), Mandy is passionate about chronic disease management spanning preventative medicine, patient-centric care plans and culturally appropriate care. She has experience as a Remote Area Nurse living and working in the APY Lands and other remote Aboriginal communities and has an extensive understanding of the unique health care challenges faced by those in the outback and in Aboriginal communities.
