Associate Professor Sunita De Sousa
Sunita De Sousa is a Staff Specialist in Endocrinology and Genetics at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Associate Professor at the University of Adelaide. Following her PhD on prolactinomas in 2020, she remains active in pituitary research in addition to various other endocrine genetic topics, including supervision of a range of junior researchers. Her latest work includes delineation of two emerging pituitary tumorigenesis genes, CHEK2 and PAM. Sunita is founder and chair of the EndoGen National Network of Endocrine Genetic Centres, and a member of the ClinGen Endocrine Tumor Variant Curation Expert Panel and the eviQ Cancer Genetics Reference Committee. She has led national guidelines on genetic testing in hyperparathyroidism and monogenic diabetes and is chair of the International Pituitary Society Genetics Guidelines Working Group.
