Dr Elizabeth Chua
Dr Elizabeth Chua is Director of Endocrinology & Metabolism Centre and Senior Staff Specialist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Clinical Associate Professor in Medicine at the University of Sydney, and specially appointed Endocrinologist at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
She leads the general endocrine service at the RPA Hospital which provides a vibrant clinical service as well as a specialised dynamic testing unit which covers thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, NET as well as endocrine-complications of various therapeutic agents used in oncology, haematology and neurology.
She is the primary Endocrinologist liaising with Chris O'Brien Lifehouse clinical trials for immunotherapies for metastatic melanoma and solid organ malignancies. In collaboration with the medical oncologists, she has developed endocrine management protocols/guidelines for immunotherapy related endocrinopathies.
She is actively involved in both clinical and basic research on thyroid malignancy in Australia and New Caledonia, general thyroid and endocrine disorders, and dynamic radiological sampling with the RPAH interventional radiology service. She has supervised endocrine advanced trainees for over 10 years and co-supervises PhD, masters and honours students at the Sydney Medical School.
