Clinical Professor Creswell Eastman
Creswell Eastman is Clinical Professor, the University of Sydney and a practising Consultant Physician in Endocrinology and Public Health. He is a former President of the Endocrine Society of Australia and founder of the Asia Oceania Thyroid Association. He has been a Board Member of the International Council for Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders- Global Network (ICCIDD-GN) since 2001 including Vice Chairman and Regional Coordinator for the Asia Pacific Region. He has had extensive experience in leading Public Health and Clinical Research into thyroid disease and IDD throughout the Asia Pacific region and has been a Consultant to WHO, UNICEF and the World Bank on IDD. He was the leader of the National Iodine Nutrition Study conducted on children throughout Australia in 2003-2004. He is the lead author of the chapter on IDD in the web-based textbook www.thyroidmanager.org.
